Earth and Bloom begins with the land in the mountains of East Tennessee. Life feels different here; the land is alive. We grow and gather East Tennessee botanicals in season, in their natural environment, without chemicals or forced production. Our harvesting process aligns with the timing, conditions, and maturity of the plants. Nothing is rushed or taken out of cycle. What the land provides determines the herbal remedies we create. Availability is seasonal, and each batch reflects the unique conditions it came from.
When we walk the land of East Tennessee, we observe what is happening, choosing plants at their peak of potency to create our herbal remedies, and taking only what is needed so the grove continues to flourish. No two batches of Earth and Bloom botanicals are treated the same, but every batch follows a defined process.
We prepare and dry our herbs using traditional methods with patience and time. Glass containers, steel pots, and wood utensils are used to ensure the quality of our Earth and Bloom products is not diminished. Drying, infusing, and blending are done in stages, using time, temperature, and environment as controlled variables.
Every step is tracked. Materials are kept separate by batch, monitored daily, and adjusted as needed to maintain the consistency and integrity of our East Tennessee botanicals.
At Earth and Bloom, we believe that everything can be used, and everything returns to the earth. In this manner, we repurpose scraps to create plant teas, use onion skins to produce vibrant colors, and transform ash into inks, while eggshells nourish our homestead. Everything we do aligns with the earth's natural cycles.
